So, as Atreyu had beaten the old monk, he'd walked Atreyu to the Sprout Tower, a place the monk comes from, where they only use two types of pokemon, but overall, five. And they are Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Victreebel, Hoothoot, and Noctowl. "Well, this ought to be an interesting encounter." Atreyu said as he rushed in, to the Tower's top floor, beating trainers with only Bellsprout and Weepinbell on the way up. Until, finally, he reached the top, where an interesting looking trainer was battling the monk in the back room, and winning handily. "Hmm, damn, looks as if the monk is already battling someone else, so he won't have time for me..." Atreyu said as he walked into the room and sat down to watch the battle.

After it was over, Atreyu stood up and said "Hey there, lead monk, you wouldn't happen to have time to take on another challenger, would ya?" "Hmm, well, I suppose I could, but you'll have to come back another time, my child, you see, this young man here has beaten me, and I must heal my pokemon before I engage in another battle, so I'm sorry to say you'll have to come back tomorrow. But I will take you on then, and maybe you too, can obtain the flash hm." Atreyu paused for a second...(Well, I guess this gives me a chance to see how Acri's gym battle's going..) "Alright! Tomorrow then, you be ready though, head monk, 'cause I'll make sure I win!" Atreyu said very enthusiastically. "Hahaha, well then it's settled, meet me here tomorrow, and you will have your battle." the old monk said to Atreyu. "Okay, well until then, be well, and have a good one." Atreyu said as he rushed out of the room, and back down the stairs. (Okay, looks like I'll get to see the battle after all, SWEET!)

So Atreyu left the Sprout Tower and went down to the city's pokemon gym in hopes of watching Acri's battle and cheering her on.

CK · Johto Elite Four - Fire User

CK sighed as she finally passed the Pokemon Center at the edge of Violet City and said to the young, dog-like Pokemon following her "I know Will said his Xatu might be a bit off in teleporting us to Violet City, but a half hour walk is just ridiculous." The two Houndour just growled and bowed their heads in reply. The three of them stopped by a few trees and as CK leant up against one the two Houndour just sat by her feet. CK breathed another heavy sigh and thought back to just before she was sent away. She was lucky that Lance let her go at all, because she was so bored. Will and Bruno kept beating the trainers, so Karen, CK and Lance never even got the chance to battle any challengers. After a while the three of them got sick of it so Lance, as the head of the Pokemon League, sent CK to look for skilled trainers and invite them to take the Pokemon Gym Challenge. First CK had to find a trainer at all.

She then noticed a battle occurring in the centre of the town, and watched as a young trainer handily defeated one of the local sages. It appeared to be an easy win, with a Cyndaquil having a type advantage over a Weepinbell. CK thought maybe she should talk to the trainer, but instead just let him go, and he entered the Sprout Tower. CK stood up straight and looked around, sussing out something to do while looking for trainers. She then noticed the Violet City Gym nearby and thought about visiting the Gym Leader. Instead she decided to wait, and rather than trying to find trainers she was waiting to see if any trainers could find her. Besides, she had to wait for the Houndour at her feet to finish their little tussle they were having, rolling around and play-biting each other. They had been almost as bored as she had for the past few weeks.

Atreyu, on his way to the gym, stopped off at the pokemon center and had all his pokemon healed. He then stepped outside the center and looked over in the direction of the gym, only to see someone leaning against a tree, that interested him, with a couple pokemon playing around in front of her. (Oh? An interesting looking trainer? And a fire type user from the look of it, no type advantages or disadvantages, sounds like an even battle. Okay then!) Atreyu's look shifted, as he got serious. He walked over, casually, to the fire trainer and stopped. "Hey there, cutie, you interested in a pokemon battle?" Atreyu asked with a detirmined look in his eyes, and a certain shade of red around his face.

CK · Johto Elite Four - Fire User

CK felt a slight feeling of impatience as the twins at her feet continued to play fight. She knew they were having a good time, but they really needed to get a move on, otherwise they might be recalled, and that was the last thing CK wanted. She shook her head and sternly said "Boys! Knock it off!" She was shocked as the Houndour twins froze in their place, then stood up and sat down in front of her. She then saw the cause of this unusual behaviour. The trainer they were watching before was approaching them.

CK couldn't tell much about the trainer just by looking at him, but with merely a Zubat, which had evolved into a Golbat, and a Cyndaquil he seemed to be a reasonably new trainer. The trainer stopped in front of them and said "Hey there, cutie, you interested in a Pokemon battle?" This confirmed CK's thoughts that he was a new trainer. He seemed confident, but just a little too overconfident.

CK smiled and said "Sure, but I'm warning you it has been a long time since I've had a Pokemon battle, so I might be a little rusty." She then remembered that she had forgotten her introduction and said "Oh sorry, by the way, my name's CK." The Houndour twins slumped behind CK's legs as she pulled a PokeBall from her belt, clicked the button and held it firmly in her hand. "How many Pokemon?"

Atreyu froze up for a second, (Oh man, I hate dogs, why does it have to be two Houndour infront of her?) "Uhh, I guess a single's battle, two on two, is good with me, how's that sound to you?" Atreyu quickly regained his thoughts and gave a wink to the trainer.

(Note: Sorry I havent replyed lol, I been busy with school and just plain forgot about it, Sorry) Acri made her way up to the Gym, it was a big building. The mechanical doors opened to her and she walked in to be awed by a big stadium."So it seems its bigger than it seems on the outside". She looked up and noticed it was also very high. Acri walked further into the Gym and looked around. No-one was there. "Hello?" She called out. No answer.

"Oh, Sorry" A boy with dark blue hair walked over from the other side of the stadium. "I'm Falkner the Gym Leader of the Violet Gym! Flying type Pokemon are my specialty, people say they're wings can be clipped by electricity, but I will show you the true power of flying Pokemon!" He recited. Acri blinked stupidly. "So you accept my challenge?" Falkner nodded and gestured at a square box for a trainer at the edge of the battle field, he took position at his end. Another person walked in and stood in a side box. "This is a battle between the challenger and the Gym Leader Falkner. He cannot switch pokemon out in battle but the challenger can do so to their whim, Let the Battle begin!"

Falkner took a ball from his belt. "Go, Pidgey!" He threw it high into the air and a small bird appeared.
"Go, Totodile!" Acri said, throwing a ball. The small crocodile-like pokemon appeared and was its usual joyful self. "Water Gun!" She said pointing at the Pidgey. Water gushed from its mouth and it surged towards Pidgey, fast and accurately. " Dodge!" Falkner commanded. The Pidgey flew down but that was a mistake. Totodile lowered its head and continued using Water Gun, it hit pidgey full on. "NO! Pidgey! Try Wing Attack!" Falkner commanded. Totodile jumped up and down and unintentionally dodged the flurry of Wing Attacks launched by Pidgey. Totodile's chest stuck out as in inhaled. It breathed out a small jet of water which slammed into Pidgey, knocking it down to the ground.
"Pidgey is unable to battle" the battle referee said.
A red light engulfed the hurt, small bird and a larger bird took its place. "Lets go Pidgeotto!" Falkner said. Without needing to be told what to do Totodile used Water Gun but Pidgeotto easily dodged it. "Pidgeotto, Steel Wing!" Its wings glowed white, it sped towards Totodile and hit it full on, on its chest. Totodile winced and use Water Gun which hit Pidgeotto directly. It turned and hit Totodile again, it was thrown into the air and it hit the wall, it slid down and didnt get up.
"Totodile is unable to battle!" the Referee said.
"Return, Totodile, Go, Pidgeotto!" Acri said, throwing another ball. " Aerial Ace!" Pidgeotto flew at Falkner's with speed. It disappeared and appeared beside Falkners, it was still moving at a great speed and smashed into it.
"Gust!" Falkner commanded. His Pidgeotto began to flap its wings and a small tornado formed.
"Agility, followed by Peck, Pidgeotto!" Acri called out to Pidgeotto. It used its speed to cut through the Gust attack and began to Peck furiousiously at the other bird. "Finish it with Wing Attack!" Its wings glowed and it slammed into Falkners Pidgeotto. He was speachless that he lost. Before his Pidgeotto hit the ground it was engulfed in red light and disappeared into the ball.

Just then, in a split second, as Atreyu waited for CK's reply, a sudden calm came over him. He regained his confidence despite there being dogs around, and waited patiently.

Hikari aplauded the battle and Acri's win. She had been watching from the shadows. "Nice work, you seem to have potential to be a great trainer" She commented. Acri looked at her strangely, Hikari laughed.

CK noticed that the trainer was eyeing her Houndour twins, and that he was a little edgy. She reluctantly dropped her PokeBall in her hand, plucked two more PokeBalls off her belt and returned the twins for the time being. She didn't want the trainer to be nervous of bystanders while they battled. She wanted to see this trainer's full potential. She then picked up the PokeBall on the ground at her feet and said "Two on two's fine by me." She smiled at the young trainer as he winked at her and thought to herself 'He may be a new trainer, but I'd better keep my guard up anyway.'

She threw the PokeBall up in the air and shouted "Let's go! Magby!" The PokeBall burst open and released a curled up Magby in a flash of red light. The Magby uncurled and gave out an enthusiastic battle cry. CK was proud off this Magby. It, along with the Houndour twins, was the youngest Pokemon on her team, and it was quite different to normal Magby, in more than just its color. As it landed firmly on the ground its golden coat gave off a bright sparkle. The golden Magby was ready for battle. CK put on a confident smile and said "I'm gonna let you make the first move. So what's it gonna be?" CK and her Magby felt ready for anything.

Hikari shoved her hands into her pockets and began to walk towards the electronic doors. "My name is Hikari, Hikari Hyuga" She said, not turning around. The doors opened for her and she walked down the street to see two trainers. Hikari blinked in surprise as she reckonized CK. She raised her hand into a wave. "Hey" She said looking at the light brown headed person. "Its been a while since I last seen you".

(my first post here I think, my characters name is Vaxen and I'm an Elite Four member , thanks to Atreyu)

I entered the Violet City Gym to check on Falkner. I grinned as he saw a utterly mad/sad Falkner after he was beaten by some trainers. "Falkner! You sure aren't living up to your title of gym leader , are you?" I teased with a chuckle. I'm a fourteen year old teasing a seventeen year old. Pretty humiliating to Falkner I bet.

"Shaddup Vaxen. You and your dragons are no match for me." Falkner replied with an evil smile. I closed my eyes as I let out Kingdra. "You shouldn't be talking to an Elite Four member that way. Especially if they're stronger than you." I said with a slight smile. Kingdra used a water gun in agreement. I looked at the trainers near Falkner. I walked towards them and stuck out my hand for a handshake. "The name's Vaxen , the Dragon trainer of the Elite Four. Nice to meet you guys."

Atreyu, no longer on edge, reached for his belt and grabbed a ball. "Alright, straight into battle. Let's do this, Pidgey!" Atreyu yelled as the pokeball left his hand. Just then, as he threw his ball out, Atreyu noticed a new trainer watching him and CK, and also that Acri was running his way. (Oh, Acri? She's done, huh? Well I hope she got her badge, but it can't be helped now, I'm in a battle) As he thought to himself, she popped up right beside him, "Ah?! Oh, so hey did you get your gym badge, Acri?" he asked her as his focus turned back to the battle. "So, who makes the first move?"

CK · Johto Elite Four - Fire User

CK noticed another person approach the other trainer, and she referred to him as Atreyu, and CK figured that was his name since he didn't introduce himself. Atreyu called the other person Acri. Before CK could question the trainers she noticed two more people approach them, and they were both familiar faces.

One of them waved at her and said "Hey, it's been a while since I last seen you." The other one held out her hand to Acri and Atreyu and said "The name's Vaxen , the Dragon trainer of the Elite Four. Nice to meet you guys."

CK looked over at the two trainers, slightly confused and said "Hikari. Vaxen. What are you guys doing here? Did Lance send you too?" Then she heard Atreyu's voice, asking whose move it was. CK looked back towards the two Pokemon and Atreyu, and confidently said "Like I said before, I'm gonna let you make the first move." She smiled and Magby held its arms up in front of it, bracing itself for the battle to come.

(SO MANY FREAKING PEOPLE!) Atreyu was frozen as he thought loudly to himself... "Uhh, oh, sorry. With everyone around and all, I hadn't noticed you said you'd let me go first. Well then, Pidgey, let's start this thing out with a wing attack, go!" Atreyu said as passion filled his eyes.

I looked at CK with a confused look. "Well , not me. I'm just more of a traveling kind of guy. And I also want to catch a bit more pokemon , even if I don't use them in pokemon league battles." I said to CK with a grin. I forgot to tell CK just one more thing. "Besides , I'm gonna go to Shinou region after the Pokemon League." I told CK with a plain face. I looked on as the battle against Falkner went on.

Atreyu, after giving the command for attack, stopped for a second, looked out of the corner of his eye and said "Oh, damn. My bad man, I completely left your hand out there." *Atreyu shook Vaxen's hand* "My name's Atreyu, glad to meet ya" he said with a smile while his Pidgey was heading for Magby... without him watching...

Atreyu just stood there for a second, looking at Acri out of the corner of his eye, but not able to tell what expression she had on her face. "Oh, no, no, I'm sorry, Hikari. I didn't mean you were the problem, there's just alot of people around so I lost my focus. Honestly it makes me mad when I forget about something as important as my pokemon so... I just lost my cool. I'm sorry." Atreyu said to Hikari with embarassment.

(Wait a second... gossiping, whispering without telling, this is reminding me of my past.... but why....?) Atreyu became lost in thought.

(Mmmmmm, what is this about?! I know there's something familiar about this, nostalgic almost...) Atreyu sat down. (AAAHH!! Why can't I think of it?!) Atreyu thought to himself as he was hitting his head. Atreyu took one more look at Acri and Hikari and then it hit him. (Oh man, holy crap! Damn, after only that short a time, she became the champ...? Well, isn't she something.) Atreyu stood up. "Okay. You obviously knew this from the start, but Hikari, you're from our hometown. I remember... You, me, Acri, and Votun... we all grew up together... Man I feel like such an idiot not recognizing you right off the bat." Atreyu walked over to the two of them. "So, after all this time... we finally meet again! Awesome, you've grown into quite the successful pokemon trainer too, I've got three rivals now, heh heh heh, this is great! Oh and one more thing Hikari, it's been so long and all... So ya gotta gimmie a hug, you!"

Hikari's face became redder than it Atreyu's was, he began to get up and walk towards to, his arms outstretched. She fell over backwards, her face getting progressingly red. Her eyes were wide open and her hand that was playing with the Pokeball twitched, knocking it from her belt. It opened and out came a large dragon, bluish in colour with orange-ish wings.

OOC: Whoa! So many posts since I last came on!

CK watched the reunion happening and smiled at all the friends. She then realized that Atreyu's Pidgey was just seconds from hitting it with a Wing Attack. She didn't want to ruin the moment, but she couldn't help it. She had forgotten what it felt like to battle, and what the thrill of the fight does to her, and instinct took her over completely.

She blocked everything else out of her mind and saw several strategies form in her mind, and commanded "Magby! Thunderpunch!" The golden Magby's fist glowed with electricity and it threw it at the Pidgey as it approached.

The Dragon roared at Atreyu. It knew very well what was going on, seeing Hikari, her face looking like it was dyed red, lying on the ground. Hikari got strange looks from everyone and grew redder, if it was possible.

"Oh crap! Okay, I'm stupid. Let's leave at that right now, Acri. But I've got some battling to do." Atreyu said as he finally regained his complete focus. "Man, a thunderpunch is gonna be powerful against my Pidgey, doesn't look too good here... Alright Pidgey, regroup and use gust!" (Huh, with gust it won't be able to get in close range)

Hikari breathed in deeply and flipped onto her feet, dusting her top. She held up the pokeball. "Sorry Salamence, return". The red light engulfed the dragon and Acri walked up beside her, both watching the match. Hikari's face had returned to normal.

CK watched the Pidgey whip up a hurricane that approached her Magby. 'I should have seen this coming.' She thought to herself. She was short of a strategy to avoid the Gust attack, but had an idea to buy some time.

"Alright Magby, fire a Confuse Ray before you get hit!" The Magby's eyes glowed dark and rays shot from the darkness, straight at Pidgey. Right at that moment Magby felt itself being lifted off the ground.

"Hey CK! You can do better than that!" Hikari called from beside Acri. Acri looked at Hikari, then to CK and looked confused.

"Damn, nice idea, but not nice enough I'm affraid. Haha, Pidgey return!" Atreyu returned Pidgey to its ball and threw it right back out again. "Now Pidgey, looks like we have one option, and that is a full frontal attack! Now, ready yourself, you're going in faster than ever! Alright Pidgey, use quick attack with maximum speed!" Pidgey flew in for quick attack, and completely vanished right before everyone's eyes.

"You know her?" Acri asked Hikari. She nodded and gestured towards the battle. Acri looked back to the battle frowning at Hikari.

CK · Johto Elite Four - Fire User

CK looked over at Hikari and mumbled "Yeah, you don't know how tough I can be." Suddenly something clicked in CK's mind and she said "Magby! Use your Flamethrower at the ground to launch yourself out of the hurricane!" Magby struggled, but successfully aimed a stream of fire at the ground, pushing it out of the eye of the storm and high into the air, only to be struck by the Pidgey that had used Quick Attack on it. Magby landed hard on the ground, but raised itself up again.

CK bit her tongue in thought. This match was tougher than she had anticipated, but she still had a few plans. "Let's try a Smokescreen attack, then Double Team." Magby released a choking smoke, to avoid being seen, and then made several copies of itself just in case Pidgey blew the smoke away with its wings.

"Man, this chick is tough, I've gotta admit, but still. I'm going to give this my best!" Atreyu said as he stopped to think for a sec. "Okay, I've got it, Pidgey! Let's use your feather dance to slow down Magby a bit, but first use your gust to blow away the smoke." Pidgey's gust then hurled forward and blew away all the smoke as planned. "Great, now hit every one of them with feather dance, go!"

'How does this Pidgey know such high level moves? Maybe, just maybe, this is the guy...' CK noticed her Magby starting to slow down, and the copies began to disappear one by one, until the real one was the only one left. 'I don't want to go all out. I don't want to ruin his spirit, but if I don't do something Magby might get beaten with speed.' CK shook her head, and at the same time shook off an idea that came to her. She didn't want to use it, but if she had to it would only be as a last resort.

CK then turned to another idea and said "Magby, use your Smog to surround Pidgey, then set it on fire with your Flamethrower!" Magby let loose another bout of smoke, this time more poisonous, and then shot another Flamethrower at it. The smoke combusted and burst into flames. This was a pretty reckless idea, but CK was starting to run dry.

"Oh, man, this is one hell of a bind she's got me in.... oh! Pidgey shake those flames with quick attack, and if you have to, take 'em with you, straight into Magby!"

'Oh man! I didn't expect this!' CK felt a tinge of panic run through her as the small bird raced towards Magby with flames trailing behind. It was a feeling she hadn't felt for a long time.

"Magby! Protect yourself with Barrier! Pidgey should run straight into it!" Magby clapped its hands in front of it and held them out. A strong glass sheet formed in front of Magby as it braced itself.
