'Wow, she is really holding back, she only just won that, she shouldn't hold back so much' Hikari thought. "Come on, You can beat that Cyndaquil easy!" Hikari yelled to CK.

CK sighed with relief as the Pidgey finally fell to the ground in defeat. But Atreyu just recalled it and sent out a Cyndaquil. CK smiled at the little fire Pokemon, admiring it. She then noticed her Magby breathing heavily. CK snapped out of her daze as Cyndaquil charged at Magby with a Flame Wheel.

CK called out "Magby! Try a Dizzy Punch!" Magby swung its arm around as Cyndaquil approached it. CK knew whether this attack hit or not, Magby was going to get hurt.

"No way! Don't get hit Cyndaquil! Combine your flame wheel with a quick attack to dodge, and hit it from behind!"

Hikari laughed. "No offence Atreyu, but your totally screwed now".

Acri looked at the Typhlosion with awe. "Hey...Dont you have a Typlosion too Hikari?" She nodded. "I got it as a Cyndaquil from Mt.Silver"

"Well, part of being a good trainer is knowing when to give up... So I guess I'll have to. CK, you're a great battler, but I know when I'm beat." Atreyu said as a look of relief came over him. "Well, Quilava, looks like we won't get to see what you're capable of until the next battle, but you can rest assured, you'll be the first one out. Now, return."

CK smiled proudly at Atreyu as he ran off. He would have to have been either stupid or foolish, or both, to try and battle an old Typhlosion with a newly evolved Quilava. She wasn't really going to attack, that would have been cruel. She was actually testing his heart. 'He's definitely the one.' She thought. CK walked up behind her Typhlosion, which had doused the flames on his neck, put her hand on his shoulder and smiled at him. He smiled back.

"It's good to have you back, my friend." Typhlosion growled contently. "I suppose we have to get Magby healed, then get something to eat." Typhlosion barked happily. CK turned to the other trainers and said "You guys coming too?"

"Uh, sure." CK was shocked at the sudden challenge. "Both of our strongest Pokemon?" She asked.

CK smiled confidently. Typhlosion relit its flames, ready to fight. CK nodded and said "Alright then, show us what you got."

'So what's it gonna be? A ground, rock or water type? Will it be a combination of them? Or will it be none of them?'

Meanwhile, as that battle was getting under way, Atreyu had already eaten, and was having his own battle.

Atreyu went to sleep in the room on the second floor of the pokemon center.

"Blaziken! You know what to do!" Hikari called out to the awaiting Blaziken. It began to run towards Typlosion then disappeared from sight.

Hikari smiled. "Blaziken and I have trained in a Volcano cavern! It can see through smoke! Blaziken, Sky Uppercut!"

Hikari scanned the area in hopes of seeing the Typlosion. "Okay, if we cant see it, we'll counter it! Earthquake!" Blaziken smashed its foot into the ground, it began to shake. Acri lost her balance and fell over but CK and Hikari were standing as if nothing was happening.

Blaziken jumped high into the air, might i add, HIGH? "Overheat Blaziken!" Blaziken glowed red and it opened its mouth to reviel a white a red flame, it surged towards the ground, all the rocks that were up in the air were smashed into peices.

CK looked up at the Blaziken high in the air. It may as well have been flying. Typhlosion growled quietly as the rocks were incinerated.

CK clicked her tongue as she thought of something she could do. She looked up at the Blaziken again. There was no way that Typhlosion could jump that high.

Typhlosion didn't need to be told what to do. Glowing white spheres surrounded and circled him as he lowered his head. The spheres combined into one in front of Typhlosion's open jaws and let loose an intense beam. CK's jaw dropped.

"When did Typhlosion learn Hidden Power?" She said in awe. 'I wonder... I did lend him to my family for a while... Dad... did you?'

Blaziken's Overheat became lower than Typhlosion Hidden Power, and surged towards him. It struck him right in the chest, knocking him backwards a bit, but he quickly regained his balance.

"Are you OK?" CK asked, concerned. Typhlosion roared enthusiasticly. "Alright, lets do some damage with Aerial Ace!" Typhlosion crouched on all fours and disappeared. It reappeared and tackled into Blaziken.

As Atreyu slept, their battle raged on, but he was having another battle of his own, and this time there was nothing comic about it. Atreyu lay kicking the bottom post to the bed he was in at the pokemon center's second floor. He was having a horrid dream, where he was standing in darkness, a mixture of black and purple to be exact, and was watching all the evolutions of his pokemon, and all the pokemon of the previous trainers' going by, mocking him. He watched as pokemon such as Typhlosion, Pidgeot, Crobat, Salamence, Magmar, Gyarados, and Feraligatr went by, stuck and frozen in place. His thoughts began racing through his head in his dream, and he watched Acri, Hikari, Votun, CK, and Vaxen go by him as he was just standing there... He saw simulations of battles with his pokemon and all their evolved forms, and his were losing. "Nooo!!!" He screamed, "I can't let it go on, I'll get stronger! And train hard. I, and my pokemon, will become unstopable! It's too much to watch this..." he said as his feet began to move, and in the bed he lied still. "This is it, it's only another challenge, I'll get out of here!" Atreyu yelled as he saw Votun walk up to him. "Hello Atreyu, it's been quite some time, if only this were really in person, haha." Votun said as Atreyu questioned him being there. "Wait, what are you doing here? Come to think of it... where is here?" Atreyu wondered, as he didn't know he was dreaming, yet.

Votun looked down for a second. "Okay, you need this, I'm challenging you to a battle, right here, and right now, Atreyu! You're lost in a cave darker than the dark cave itself, but it's all in your head, you aren't really anywhere, you're asleep. But, you won't wake up till you beat me, man. So snap out of it and get ready, we're doing this now!" Votun said in an atempt to encourage Atreyu.

"Alright then, let's do it, Votun! I'm beating you here, if only in my head..." Atreyu said as his confidence slipped away. Votun quickly responded, "Hey, don't give it up that quickly, after all, this is your head, so use the team you hope to have one day." Atreyu looked up with a light to his eyes, despite being in a blinding darkness. As he looked upon Votun's face, the darkness cleared, and he got back on his feet. "Okay, looks like you're ready now" Votun said with pride.

"Yes, I am, but there's one condition to this match, Votun. We use one pokemon each, I only want to use one right now, the one that is the best in my heart." Votun looked confused a bit, but said "That's fine by me, man, just all the faster I'll beat ya, haha. Let's do it!"

Atreyu threw out his pokeball in sync with Votun.
Votun's opened to reveal his choice was Tyranitar.
Atreyu's opened to reveal his choice was Quilava.
"Hmm, I guess you do have your confidence back if you're using that thing, hahaha, very well, come on then!" Votun said to Atreyu.
"You've got it, Quilava, we have the first move it seems, so use your flame wheel and show me what you can do!" Atreyu said as he stared at Votun.
Quilava went in for a fast and powerful flame wheel and successfully landed the blow to Tyranitar. Tyranitar tripped up a bit and lost it's balance for a moment, but it got back on its feet quickly. "Okay, Tyranitar use rock slide, now!" Votun commanded.
Tyranitar vanished and reappeared by Quilava. It hit an imaginary rock wall that appeared out of nowhere and its rock slide attack came down all at once on Quilava.
"This is nothing, this is nothing to bring us down!!! Quilava, up, and use your quick attack, full force!" Atreyu yelled as he bagan to glow with a red outline. Quilava felt his passion and was healed by his power, it quickly got up and used its quick attack on Tyranitar, and landed a very powerful blow.
"Well, well, you do have potential, Atreyu, but I'm ending this now!" Votun screamed.
"Now, Tyranitar, use your earthquake attack, and end this!"
Atreyu closed his eyes, as Votun was speaking. When he opened them, they were a different color, and his hair waved as if it were in the water.
"Okay then, Quilava, dodge the earthquake."
Votun quickly yelled, "But, it can't! There's nowhere to run from an earthquake but the sky!"
Atreyu grinned, with a deepened voice he said, "Then, Quilava, go to the sky."
As Atreyu said this his red outline became a red ball glowing around him, and clouds appeared from nowhere, along with a clear blue sky. Quilava sprouted white, glowing wings and flew into the air. "Now, if we can't beat it normally, let's use the power of my mind. Quilava, use sky attack!"
Votun shuttered, but said to Atreyu, "Looks like this was a success, you can do anything you want to. With your head, you can imagine a good ending to anything, and when you do, you'll make it come true! That's your gift, Atreyu, use it well..." Votun said as he faded away with the glorious defeat of Tyranitar as Quilava crashed into it.

Atreyu- Wait what, what do you mean by my gift?
Votun- You're special, Atreyu.
Atreyu- You calling me retarded?!
Votun- No, nothing like that, just wait, you'll see.
Atreyu- I'm completely lost though, what am I waiting for?
Votun- Just wait, you'll see.
Atreyu- AH?!
Votun- Stop, I have to go now, but you'll do this world some good.
Atreyu- What are you talking about?!!?
Votun- Gah, don't worry about it, man.
Atreyu- Don't tell me that now!
Votun- Oh, shut up. You'll see what's gonna happen when it happens. But until then, train hard, as hard as you possibly can. Beat the Battle Frontier, and come see me, then we can battle for real. But I won't be as easy as any Magby, haha.

Being a dream, this all went on in fifteen minutes, but felt like hours to Atreyu.
But reguardless, he woke up and wondered for some time about what Votun said in his dream. "Was it really a dream, or was this some kind of sign...?" Atreyu thought about it for some time to go on, but soon after getting up he ran straight outside. It was 12:54 a.m. by now, but Hikari and CK had begun battling and were in the middle of it when he showed up.

Acri began to speak but Hikari talked over her. "Root for CK! She'll need it" The rocks around Typlosion began to fall and it was breathing heavily. "Finish it! Earthquake!" Hikari commanded.

Hikari blinked and returned Blaziken, running after CK. " Training in all the regions makes one strong. I have been to Hoenn, Orre, Johto and Kanto. They wouldnt let me on the boat to Shinnoh though...Is your Typlosion alright? The look in its eye....It seemed pretified" Hikari said to CK as they walked through the mechanic doors.

Acri and Atreyu walked into the Pokemon Centre to see CK staring at the Pokeball and Hikari standing there deep in thought. "Hey, whats wrong with your Typlosion?" Acri asked CK.

A loud ringing eminated from Hikari's pocket, she blushed as she got looks from everyone in the centre. She walked over to the other side and pulled her phone out, flipping and answering it. "Sir?" She said into the phone. She began a quiet conversation, nobody else could hear what they were saying. "Okay Lance" She said and put the phone back into her pocket. "I have to go know...Orders" She said sadly. Hikari began to rummage through her shoulder bag and pulled out a Pokeball and handed it to Acri, winking. "Here's a little present" she said and Acri took the Pokeball from her hand and looked at it. She walked over to Atreyu and her face became pink. "Sorry I have to go so soon Atreyu" Hikari said to him and she walked out the door. She grabbed a ball from her belt and threw it high into the air. A large red pokemon with wings appeared from the ball, it roared. Hikari jumped on its back. "Charizard, we need to go to Blackthorn". Hikari looked over to CK. "Sorry to go in such a rush".Charizard took off from the ground powerfully, leaving dust where it once stood.

Atreyu started thinking a bit while everyone was leaving... (Ah man, now Hikari's leaving, such a short visit, and I wanted to talk with that Vaxen guy too, damn. Ahh but none of that's bothering me as much as the dream I had, it felt so real... but how could that be?? I mean, I made Quilava sprout white, glowing wings, that's just not possible... but... if Votun does actually have a Tyranitar then I think I should make it out to be a reality and not a dream...) Atreyu lost deep in thought walked off, over to CK. "So, hey, they had to go... does that mean you're leaving too, or can you stay with the two of us for a while?" he asked anxiously.

Atreyu had asked his question to CK, but looked over and saw someone talking with Nurse Joy. "Is... is that?!!??!?!" Atreyu rushed over to the person. "Ah! It is you! Votun!"

"Oh course it is! Man, how have you been?? What're you doing here?"
