Cain managed to make it to Viridian City. But by the time he got there it was night and was raining. "Ah dang i made it a little late". Cain managed to get to the pokemon center which was empty. This surprised Cain as he made it to the checkout desk. "Excuse me, I have an injured pokemon here." Then a nurse came by and asked "Please place your pokeball or pokeballs on this tray and wait here please." Then she took a tray out with six slots. Cain took out the pokeball that held Pidgey and placed it in the first slot. Then he took a seat at the chair across from the service desk.

 3 minutes later Cain went over to one of the pay phones they had. He punched in his home number and waited a few seconds. Then his mom picked up. "Hi, mom?" His mom answered "Oh, hi Cain. Where are you now?" Cain replyed dully "Viridian City". Then his mom answered overjoyed "Oh so you have caught a Pidgey by now right?" Surprised Cain answered "Yes how did you know?" Then his mom replyed "When your father started out in Kanto he caught a Pidgey. Right before he made it to Viridian City. But then he went towards Route 22. Not to go to the Indigo Plateo right away but to catch pokemon. Anyway Cain make me proud" Cain replyed with "Yeah, okay. Bye". Then he hung the phone back on its reciver. He went over to the service desk and waited. 1 minute later the nurse came back and brought the tray back. She stated "Here you are. Your Pidgey is fully healed. Take it easy in battles from now on. We hope to see you again". Cain replyed with "Thanks." Then Cain walked out of the pokemon center. The rain finnaly stopped. "Ah thats better." Then Cain having the pokeball of Pidgey in his hand placed it back on his belt. Then he walked over to route 22.
