Atreyu walked out into the open field of grass. It had just rained so he stopped and sat down to enjoy the smell. "Hmm, I wonder how far away she is already...." He layed back and looked up, to the sky. "Well, not only is Votun on my mind as my greatest rival, but I have Acri on my mind, as a good challenge and..." Just then, Atreyu heard a sound from the bush behind him. "Whaa?!" "Go! Cyndaquil!" A Pidgey jumped out at Atreyu! "Yes! I love birds, they get to be in the sky all day if they want, I envy that". Pidgey cried out "Piiddgggeeeyyy!!" Atreyu said "Whoa!" "Okay, let's do this Cyndaquil." "Use tackle!" *Cyndquil used tackle* "Hmm... look at the way it.... that must've been a hard hit! Way to go Cyndaquil! Alright, time for a pokeball." *Atreyu threw the pokeball* *Pidgey broke out after two shakes!* "Aw, damn!" yelled Atreyu. "Okay then, one more tackle, do it! Cyndaquil! *Cyndaquil used tackle* "Alright, now's the perfect time!" *Atreyu threw the pokeball* *Pidgey broke out at the last minute!* "Crap, looks like I need one more, hmm wait... it looks too weak to use another tackle on it... I got it! Cydaquil use growl!" *Cyndaquil used growl* *Atreyu threw the pokeball* *Atreyu caught Pidgey!* "Alright! My first capture! Sweet!" Atreyu went over to pick up the pokeball and walked over to the hill and leaned against it, then paused to think.
Acri walked through the long grass, her head in the clouds. " Come on Acri, I know I can beat Atreyu...eventually anyway. I cant beleive i forgot to get a Poke'dex..well i have one now...WHY AM I TALKING TO MYSELF!". She was daydreaming about becoming a Pokemon Master and went face first into a tree.
Atreyu pulled himself up the hill and began walking further, he realized the he had caught a new pokemon and he needed to get to the pokemon ceneter to heal it. "Crap, which way am I supposed to go?!" Atreyu stopped for a second and noticed a person sitting down by a tree and ran over to them.
"Oh god my head... I'll be some pokemon master my arse..." Acri said rubbing her head. She heard the rustling of grass and turned to see a boy running towards her. 'Oh god', She thought,'not Atreyu! this is soo embarassing'. She noticed that a pokeball from her belt had fallen off and quickly re-attached it and jumped up. Laughing stangely.

Atreyu got in range enough to see who it was and of course, it was Acri! "Oh man, of all the people for me to be running toward.." He slowed down, caught his breath, and walked up to her, "Hey Acri" he said as he stopped.
"Hey Atreyu....Its um...Good to see you...How've you been going?" Acri said. She tightened the bandages on her hands and tried to look dignified but a smudge of dirt was visible on her cheek.

(Atreyu thought she looked cute, standing there trying to be tough) "You uhh, okay? I see smudge on your face here..." Atreyu wiped the smudge away "There ya go, so what happened exactly?" he said with a smile on his face.
Acri coughed and felt so embaressed. " I wasn't watching where i was going...And i uhh crashed into the tree, alright?!? So have you gotten any new Pokemon yet?"
Atreyu looked at her for a second, then gave a light laugh "Haha, well that's graceful of you" he said as he smiled at her. "And yes, I've caught myself a Pidgey, which is why I'm trying figure out the way to the pokemon center in the next town."
"Hey cool, thanks" he said as he started walking with her. "So this day hasn't been so bad, I caught a Pidgey, and I caught up to you, pretty good if ya ask me."
"Yeah, not bad at all. I had to backtrack to Professor elms because i forgot my poke'dex, im guessing you did too" she said handing Atreyu the red machine.
"Oh man, I never even thought of that, thanks again." "Well, well, two thank yous in five minutes, eh? You're pretty helpful" he said with a grin on his face.
