Acri didnt blush but just ran too. The mechanic doors of the Centre opened and Acri and Atreyu saw Nurse Joy sitting at her desk typing something on her computer. "Nurse Joy, can you heal our Pokemon"? Acri said.
Nurse Joy happily took the pokemon and put the pokeballs on the healing machine. "Alright, looks like we're good" Atreyu said as he looked downward to the floor. "Oh, hey, sorry about grabbing your arm like that, is it alright?"
(Hmm, so she caught a Pidgey as well...) Atreyu took back his and Acri's pokemon, and handed her's to her. "Here ya go, and off we go!" Atreyu paused. "Oh... hey, Acri, I was wondering if you might want to come with me instead of us travelling apart... what do ya say?"
Acri thought for a moment. "Sure, I'd love to travel with you, but arnt we rivals? Well that shouldnt stop us from traveling together". Said Acri smiling.
Atreyu looked back up and said "No way, that shouldn't stop us from travelling together at all, glad you see it that way." "So should we head out?" he asked her as his smile kept growing.
Acri walked towards the door which open for her and stepped out into the sunshine. "I want to check out that lake, there might be rare Pokemon living in it" Acri said joyfully and began to walk towards the shimmering blue lake.
(Baby, if you wanted me to, I'd do anything thing for you...) Atreyu had this song stuck in his head, and thinking how she'd just said she wanted to go over to the lake he said to himself "Hmm, the song seems befitting to my situation here." He then turned to thank Nurse Joy again, and walked out the door over to the lake, where Acri was already looking around.
Acri stood at the Lakes edge, peering into its depths, the water shimmering with movement. A dark shadow sped through the water and burst forth in all its fury. The Gyarados began to charge its Hyper Beam and Acri cried out in shock. "OH CRAP!" She exclaimed. "Hmm i should try and catch it! Go, Pidgey". She threw the red and white sphere up high into the air and a small bird appeared. Gyarados' Hyper Beam has fully charged and surged through the water heading for land. Acri jumped out of the way as it sped fast into town. " Pidgey...uhh...Wing attack!" commanded Acri and the small bird followed the orders. It spread its wings out and they glowed white. It sped towards Gyarados and hit it directly in the face. Gyrados became even more enraged and fired a flurry of Hyper Beams. But in it's haste they were progressingly less powerful. " Pidgey, try Gust!" Yelled Acri to the stuggling Pidgey who only just managed to avoid each Hyper Beam. Pidgey stopped moving and began to flap its wings powerfully in the direction of Gyarados. The powerful wind hit Gyarados full on and pushed it back. "Yeah! Thats right Pidgey! You can do it!", Acri called. Gyarados began to charge another Hyper Beam and it clicked. "Pidgey, Mirror Move!" Gyarados' Hyper Beam fired and Pidgey dodged it and charged its own Hyper Beam. The tiny bird released it's attack and it sped towards Gyarados and hit it hard. Gyarados seemed to have fainted. "Oh wow, you rock Pidgey!" said Acri estaticly."Oh wait, Pokeball, go!" She threw another red and white sphere and the red light engulfed the Gyarados. The ball landed on the edge of the lake and shook, the middle of the ball flashing red and white until..the shaking stopped and the flashing stopped. "OH MY GOD!" Acri said joyously. "I caught a Gyarados!" She picked up the ball and held it in the air with awe. "Atreyu, i caught a Gyarados!"

Atreyu stood staring, motionless, and completely jealous (How'd she catch a freaking Gyarados?!) he thought anxiously to himself. "....Man, way to go Acri, I'm impressed" he said with a smile on his face. "Well, I say we get going to the next city, how 'bout you?"
"Yup good idea, the first gym is there!" Acri said anxiously. Acri attached the ball to her belt and pulled Pidgey's ball off. " Pidgey, You did great, time for a rest, return!" She praised. The bird glowed red and returned to its ball and Acri attached it to her belt. "Lets go!" She said enthusiasticly.
