Professor Elm was waiting in his pokemon lab for two new trainers to come and get their pokemon. Just as his lab door swings open he hears "Sorry I'm late!!!" He says "THAT, can only be.... ATREYU!!!" The door opens all the way and Atreyu walks in. So he says :Once again, I'm sorry I'm late, but I really want to do well with this." Then Professor Elm says "Atreyu, you're not late, in fact, you're early! So calm down, you can have your pick when the other trainer gets here."
Acri, flustered and breatheless burst through the doors of the lab to see a 16 year old boy and Professor Elm standing looking at her curiously. "Am I late?!?" She question, unhappily. " Acri?" Professor Elm exclaimed, " Your not late at all, like Atreyu your early". Relief washed over her as she walked in to meet them.
Atreyu's look made Acri blush. "Uhhh, Why are you looking at me like that" she said, the blush getting even redder. "Well anyway" She said, gaining what ever composure she had, "Im here to get my Pokemon professor!"
Professor Elm just stared at the two, making them blush again. "Well professor?!?" queried Acri. "Huh? Oh yes, the Pokemon, see those 3 balls over there, Cyndaquil, Tododile and Chikarita reside within, take you pick." He said, rubbing his head.
"Right, well then, Acri, if you don't mind I'll make the first pick" Atreyu said. And with that, Atreyu walked over to the table looking over to the two of them out of the corner of his eye, and picked up a ball. "Cyndaquil" he said. "Cyndaquil will be my first pokemon." With a determined look in his eyes, he walked by the two of them and leaned himself against the wall. "Your turn Acri, choose wisely" he said as he winked to her.
"I already know what Pokemon i want! I knew you would chose Cyndaquil, so i decided i would chose the Big jawed Pokemon, the one and the only Tododile! I admit i would perfer Cyndaquil...But i still love Tododile" She said with a grin as she picked up the pokeball with a blue water drop that stood out on the red top of the ball.

"Hmm, I admit, you did make a wise choice" Atreyu said as he got himself off the wall without the use of his hands. "BUT, I have to tell you Acri, the fact that you have the advantage in our pokemon's types means it will be all that more rewarding to beat you." Atreyu gave another wink. "I look forward to seeing what you've got, and good luck with everything." Even though he was so seemingly serious he gave a smile and started to walk away.
"WAIT! I challenge you to a battle Atreyu" she called. Professor Elm look at her, it seemed as if he wasnt there. "So pushy as always" he muttered under his breathe. " I heard that Prof." Atreyu turned around to the girl holding the pokeball out.
"Not yet" he said. He walked over to her and put his hand on her's and lowered her pokeball. "Let's get some experience first. As much as I'd like to battle you now, I feel I don't have enough experience to go up against another person yet." "So how about we train and meet in the next town, three days from now?" He said as he looked into her eyes and began to blush, again.
Her eyes seemed to light up, she didnt realize and she blushed again. " Okay fine, i'm off, later". She said, pushing the doors open and walking out in the sun airily.
Atreyu began to laugh, "Haha, wow, she's somethin' else, eh professor?". Professor Elm said "Yeah she is something special Atreyu, you'd best keep that in mind." "What's that supposed to mean?!" Atreyu said anxiously. "Nothing, nothing, calm down, I just meant she'll be a heck of a rival for you, that's all." "Oh." He said. "......Well, I'm off professor, it's time to get some training going, and thanks for the pokemon" He said as he left.
